Steve Jobs' Business Card, c. 1979

On April 1, 1976, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak formed Apple Computer, working out of Job's garage. No multi-million dollar gub'mint 'investment' was required.

The rest, they say, changed the world of communications.

If that was attempted today, I'm certain the Dept. of Labor, the EPA, OSHA, the local zoning commission, city hall, a half a dozen patent lawyers, and the Justice Dept. citing title X and ADA regs would descend like a plague of locusts to strangle such a fledgling private enterprise.

John Stossel illustrates the point with "I Tried to Open a Lemonade Stand."
