TV station phones 'ringing off the hook' after 421 stations switched to DTV.

"Now, hold on—didn't Congress vote to delay the DTV transition date from Feb. 17 to June 12? It sure did, but hundreds of stations lobbied the FCC to make the switch on Tuesday, the original analog TV shutoff date. (Only those with older, analog TVs and over-the-air antennas will be affected by the switch.)"

Because aggressively advertising the switch for the last year & a half wasn't enough time for the slackers people to prepare, and the nanny state gub'mint needs more time to get coupons and $$$ to the whiners citizens so they can buy converter boxes!!

And you thought your gub'mint wasn't taking good enuff care of you.
