Blog Notes

We had a new snow storm move through yesterday. Not a lot of snow, but wet and fluffy. It clung to the trees and painted 'em all a very pretty pristine white. For a brief early morning moment, even the traffic lanes and thoroughfares were gently smoothed & quieted by this blanket of white. Winter can be beautiful, but I want Spring.

Of course, this new precipitation had all the local weather people buzzed with up to the minute meteorlogical-gasms. I blame glow bull warming.

Perhaps this is the same storm now paralizing the Eastern U.S.

PS: I'm still down with a monster head cold. Might be back later.

Update: From a garrulous AP with an 891 word meteorlogical-gasms of its own:

"(AP) WASHINGTON (AP) - Mid-Atlantic residents were buried Saturday from a likely record-setting blizzard the president jokingly called "Snowmageddon," and those brave enough tried to clear a path through the wet, heavy mounds of thigh-high snow."

891 words about a snow storm. And even a clever quote from the President.

Too bad the AP doesn't devote this much attention to things that really matter, like Congressional Democrat backroom deals, or a knife wielding, tax evading democrat nominee for Illinois Lt. Gov., or Democrat Senators getting cozy with 108 senior Washington lobbyists in Miami Beach, but the AP obviously has its priorities.
