Momma always said never speak ill of the dead, but I haven't listened to Momma for a while.
The scandal plagued, Democrat congressman John "King of Pork" Murtha died yesterday, aged 77. Even upon his death bed, he never apologized to the exonerated Haditha Marines he viciously slandered as "cold blooded killers" - all the while U.S. military men & women were embroiled in the bloodiest fighting of the Iraq War.
He was also an outspoken critic of the Iraq War labeling it "a flawed policy wrapped in illusion," which I'm sure heartened our enemies and gave them a useful idiot propaganda tool. Congressman Murtha never apologized for that sedition, either.
John Murtha was a former Marine. May the Lord have mercy on his miserable soul.
A special election will be held to fill the vacated Pennsylvania 12th district seat, probably in May.
'Nuff said.
