Man of Faith

James Brown Named S.I. Studio Host of Decade

"Arguably the most ego-free sports broadcaster on the air, Brown manned Fox's successful NFL pregame show for years before joining CBS in 2005 and making that show more relevant, both in content and the ratings. The broadcaster has a unique ability to defer to talent sitting around him."

OK, so I'm a little late on this Dec. 2009 announcement, and, technically, the decade doesn't end until Dec. 31st, 2010, but it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Mr. Brown is also this year's Super Bowl host, on CBS.

But what I found even more interesting was James Brown's bedrock Christian faith, and that he is an ordained minister.

Brown talks about "My 3 Keys to Integrity" in the February issue of Guide Post magazine.

I am curious, though, how this accomplished, high profile "Man of Faith" squares with the liberal hypocrisy of clucking religious bigots, like those on "The View?" Obviously, it means those cluckers are racist. Or something.

But, I digress. It looks to finally be a good game, this Super Bowl: the number one QB VS the number two QB, plus swarming defense VS shoot out offense. Colts 37 - Saints 24. Pass the pizza & chips!
