Thousands To Attend Saturday Rally Denouncing Israel MidEast Offensives

London (AHN) - Organizers say thousands of people are expected to troop to the streets of London on Saturday to protest the relentless bombings of Israel in Lebanon which they say is threatening to escalate into a full-blown invasion.

Rallies are expected to happen from London in the southeast to Glasgow and Kirkcaldy in the north.

Andrew Burgin of Stop the War Coalition said they are expecting some 10,000 from London to participate in the march. He told Agence France-Presse, "We are calling for an unconditional ceasefire, for Israel to stop bombing the Lebanon and that is why we are marching today."

The Muslim Association of Britain, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and the Lebanese Muslim League, are among the other organizations behind the rallies. Of course!
