Mosul, in northern Iraq, is al-Qaida's last major urban stronghold. On Monday, insurgents blasted a U.S. patrol with a roadside bomb, then showered survivors with gunfire from a mosque in increasingly lawless Mosul. The unrest in Mosul stands in sharp relief to a significant decline in bloodshed most elsewhere in Iraq in recent months. We salute and honor the brave men & women who fight, and sometimes die, in this horrible war. Others, simple exploit the news to exalt in their predictions of doom & gloom. The self-absorbed, vitriolic moonbat comments are particularly sickening (screen shot here, in case of typical scrub).
