I'm not Catholic

but I won't hold that against the Pope. I like to think that we, here in the West, are mature enough to hold strongly held differences of ecumenical opinion without resorting to the sectarian rage of suicide bombs, ak-47s, and targeted orders of death from on high. But I'm just silly that way.

And while he holds court today before thousands in a high church of the great American past time, it's truly amazing to reflect upon the Vatican's global reach as magnified in this instant information age. Benedict's predecessor, Pope John Paul was known as the pope of the television age, and admittedly more popular than this current Pope, but can Pope Benedict XVI be dubbed The Pope of the Internet Age?
