Palin's judicial appointments while Gov.

I know. Wardrobes, baby daddies & gender roles are what really matter when choosing an administration, but let's for a minute pretend - bare with me - that the executive decisions on record might actually matter. (I'm silly that way)

LBW has a good synop of Palin's one State Supreme Court appointment & her 10 lower-court appointments as Governor.

Plus, amid all the current convention hoopla, she's obligated by deadline (Sept. 2nd) to fill a vacancy on the state Court of Appeals. No pressure.

LBW's summation of Palin's executive decisions regarding the State Judiciary?

It is difficult to say, because Alaska's governor must pick from among candidates submitted by the Judicial Council. That said, a review of the applications of the judges she named suggests that her appointments have been based on merit, not politics, and reflect a range of experience in criminal defense, criminal prosecution and civil practice.

Probably all mute points for the nutroots as I'm sure they'll 'prove' the existence of a surreptitious wingnut abortion litmus test in Palin's star chamber.

At the Fortress of Solitude. Or something.
