The United Socialist States of America

(I read that moniker from some other blogger some weeks back. I forget who. Please identify yourself and I'll give appropriate credit.)

I'm always leery of polls. There's lies, damn lies, then there's poll numbers. Or something like that... You never know who's, er, thumb is on the demographic scale.

But we come to this, and I go, maybe; just maybe: 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.

"Republicans - by an 11-to-1 margin - favor capitalism. Democrats are much more closely divided: Just 39% say capitalism is better while 30% prefer socialism. As for those not affiliated with either major political party, 48% say capitalism is best, and 21% opt for socialism."

27% of the over-all sample were 'undecided'.

Undecided? WTF?? By all means, if you're that impressed by socialism's economic & human rights accomplishments, move to Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, or Massachusetts.

Krykee. The lefties Wallace-ites have been trying like the dickens for decades to round up millions of folks onto the liberal plantation, in order to addict them to sucking on the gub'mint teet.

Lot's of suckers out there. Our Dear Leader's election as the Obamacornucopia of Solve Everyone's Problem is the most obvious, recent example. Embarrassing political panderers like the Congressional Black Caucus sucking up to Castro add to the proof.

Of course, the million monkey MSM aids and abets the process with The curious case of 200 nearly identical MSM headlines - to perpetuate the lie of 47 million uninsured - on the same day with tailor made stats for each state in which the story appeared!

But there's no bias.

Yet, maybe, just maybe, there's some coordinated daily White House conference calls.

But that would be exploitive to the point of unethical, and possibly illegal, wouldn't it?

Update: Q & O reports that poll numbers were wildly more in favor of capitalism before the 2008 presidential election. Fickle democracy or fickle pollsters?
