Cali. Luxury Hybrid Car Maker Receives $528,000,000 Loan from FEDS

Al Gore is a venture capitalist partner in the company.

"Fisker, launched in 2007, is expected to release its first vehicle, the Karma, in the summer of 2010. The $87,900 plug-in luxury sports sedan, which has solar panels on the roof and allows motorists to drive gas-free for 50 miles, will be built in Finland by Valmet Automotive."

Because $90,000 per copy hybrid cars built in Finland are a sure return on investment during a global recession.

Fisker's direct competitor, Tesla Motors, which makes a $109,000 per copy roadster, received $465,000,000 loan from the FEDS back in June.

Volkswagon, anyone?
