These Are The Experts We've Been Waiting For...

From The Daily Caller:

Experts begin to doubt Obama’s re-electability

"Gallup numbers show the president’s approval at 41 percent, and show him trailing an unnamed “generic Republican” by eight percentage points, National Journal’s Charlie Cook wrote on Oct. 28. “These numbers certainly don’t show Obama’s reelection fortunes as hopeless, but they paint a very challenging situation.”

“Nobody’s gotten elected with these kinds of numbers,” James Carville, the Democratic Party’s snapping turtle, told a radio interviewer Oct. 25. “Everything worries me … I profoundly admit that,” he said on Scott Hennen’s show.

Even Bill Daley, the president’s chief of staff, is hoping for a secular miracle. “I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility that we have a stronger attitude around the economy … just the beginning of a psychological change,” he told Politico on Oct. 28. “That is the biggest thing. What are the factors that [will create] that? Who knows?…. you can just feel this electorate is very volatile.”
The only poll that truly matters is the one on election day and a wounded prey is the most dangerous of all. Don't let up, citizens.

Get Haircut and Get a Real Job

by George Thorogood.

Polemic or satire? Discuss.

Are You Smarter Than A Wall Street Occupier?

New. This Fall. On CBS.

Just kidding. But that is a question John Hinderaker at PowerLine blog asked after reviewing a survey by New York magazine which asked 50 “occupiers” (I call 'em squatters) a series of questions about public issues.

His conclusion? "To be blunt, people this dumb should be ashamed to show their faces in public, let alone try to tell the rest of us how to run the country."

Indeed.

I blame gub'mint schools.

Monday Coffee. Black.

Morris Garage (MG) Automobiles. Fussy. Noisy. Unreliable. FUN.

I owned a '58 MGA. I always wanted a Triumph TR-6, but hey, youse buys whats you can affords. It was the first car I bought all by myself. Saved up, paid cash. And for a freckle-faced, geeky teen with handful of tools and too much time on his hands in mid-west America, on the open road, top down, I thought my MGA could fly.

That car was a chick magnet. The driver - eh, not so much.

It's Official: 2011 the 2nd Highest Deficit in U.S. History.

According to the U.S. Treasury, the 2011 federal deficit clocked in at a red ink scary $1.299 trillion. But don't worry, citizens. That gnashing and wailing you hear is only your great-grand kids being sold into indentured servitude with the Chi-Coms.
"The nation only ran a larger deficit for the 2009 fiscal year, which included the dramatic collapse of financial markets and a huge bailout effort by the government. The nation's deficit that year was $1.412 trillion."
That was the year your children were sold into indentured servitude with the Chi-Coms.

"We're number 3" belongs to 2010 which broke our backs with a mere $1.293 trillion deficit.

But look on the bright side, citizens. The final 2011 deficit is $347 billion less than the estimate in the president’s February budget. Although, Pres. Obama is pressing harder than ever to get his $447 billion so-called 'jobs bill' rammed through Congress piece meal. So, it's almost a wash!

A billion here. A billion there. Pretty soon you're talking real money.

I feel so much better.

The Roberts Electric Car gets 40 Miles per Charge

It's inventor, Charles Roberts, built the vehicle in Chicago in 1896. The two shown here are the few still road worthy examples of the machine.
"Driven by a tiller instead of a wheel, the Roberts car was built seven years before the Wright brothers’ first flight, 12 years before the Ford Model T, 16 years before Chevrolet...."
Welcome to the future.

One hundred and fifteen years later, and hundreds of billions of dollars in tax payer provided government subsidies to political cronies for pay offs and the modern electric car (like the Chevy Volt) still gets....  40 miles per charge.

That's a text book definition of 'progressive.'

So, even though electric automobiles appeared on the roads long before well known name brand gasoline vehicles, the Electrics were relegated to the dustbin. Why? Customers preferred the power, convenience and long distances gasoline engines provided in a world where leg and animal power once was the norm.

And not too long ago, children, in a land nearby, people weren't burdened with a nanny state gub'mint determining winners and losers in the market place of ideas. These people were called 'customers' and those businesses which provided quality goods and excellent service prospered and those businesses that did not went extinct. No gub'mint waste or fraud was required!

Seriously.

Understand 'Occupy Wall Street' Mobs in 10 Easy Lessons

Read the serious full analysis (seriously) at Hope n Change Cartoons, where Mr. Jarlsberg points out that these "Occupy Wall Street" mobs are predominately "affluent, overwhelmingly white, unbelievably self-absorbed kids."

This description, of course, means that MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, WaPO and NPR will demonize these people as racists, any day now.

Any day.

Soon.

Right after the crickets start chirping.

In the mean time, don't get between a mendacious congress critter and a TV camera:

House minority leader Nancy Pelosi(D-CA) praised those participating in the "Occupy Wall Street" protests, declaring "God bless them," then praised them for their for their spontaneity and effectiveness.

Yet, in 2009, Mrs. Pelosi demonized the TEA Party as 'astroturf.'

But, wait. There's more!

Senate Democrats Cheer Wall Street Protests. You know, the usual suspects like Senators Kerry, Cardin & Casey.

And speaking of usual suspects: Billionaire financier George Soros’ fingerprints all over 'Occupy Wall Street' mobs.

Uh,oh. It's getting ugly.

Something called a Roseanne Barr consulted her skid-marked shorts to demand "Behead Bankers, Rich Who Won't Give Up Wealth." I want to know what suit thought it wise to put this person in front of a TV camera??

Also, New York state lawmakers have received threatening mails saying it is “time to kill the wealthy.”

But it's those eeebil teabaggers that are the real problem, gosh darn it!

A local photoblogger captured the very tame 'OWS' action at Penn Valley Park in KCMO on Tuesday.

And from the 'Buyer's Remorse' dept. of the NY Times:
“There’s a lot of discontent with Obama’s policies,” said Kevin Zeese, an organizer of the protest, which drew about 500 people. “Obama is out of touch. He’s busy going around the country raising $1 billion to run for re-election.”

The new normal: Unemployment rate steady at 9.1%, 103K jobs added. But that includes 45,000 Verizon union workers who decided to go back to their jobs.

And, finally: "I wanna talk about me, Wanna talk about I, Wanna talk about number one, Oh my me my, What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see...
