A Few Headlines

United States and Mexico Sign Key Part of Immigration Deal
"The deal outline also stated that the United States “will immediately expand the implementation” of a program that returns immigrants who cross the southern border to Mexico while their claims are adjudicated. Mexico, in turn, will “offer jobs, healthcare, and education” to those people, “according to its principles,” the agreement stated.

The two countries also agreed to continue a discussion on the next steps to be completed in 90 days."

Maybe. Maybe not. Bottom line: Do not listen to what Mexico says, watch what they DO.

The Open Border Extremists
"The Dems’ refusal to consider any legislation to stop the flow of illegal immigration across our southern border was, to their outrage, end-run by the president in his deal with Mexico last week. The deal resulted from Trump’s threat of presidentially imposed tariffs under his national security authority. It was a beautiful sharp stick in Nancy and Chuckie’s eyes."

Don't get cocky. Or obtuse. Republicans controlled two branches of the federal government for first 2 years of Trump's term, and yet no immigration reform or wall building legislation was sent to Trump's desk. Why? Open Border Extremists also include the backstabbing GOPe, but for different reasons than the Dems.

‘It’s the economy, stupid’ spells trouble for Democrats in the 2020 election
"The economy is holding up and stocks have extended their gains under Trump, who’s been given even odds for re-election by bookies."

How to Talk to Millennials About Capitalism
"Polls show that young people embrace socialism—but they also distrust government regulation and admire entrepreneurialism and small business."

In the midwest, we call that 'dazed n confused.'
