ST. LOUIS, March 22 (UPI) -- An Air National Guard pilot from Missouri filed suit in U.S. District Court against Boeing Corp. after an F-15C Eagle broke apart while he was flying it.Some of the nation's stockpile of seven hundred f-15s are more 25 years old.
Stilwell received serious wounds when he ejected from the plane while flying over Missouri's Dent County on Nov. 2, 2007, the report said.
The twin-engine, supersonic F-15 has been in service since the early 1970s and is being gradually replaced by the F-22 Raptor, the report said.
