Star Parker, a syndicated, conservative columnist active in the pro-life movement, will be invited to speak, after all, on the Catholic campus of St. Thomas University in the Twin Cities.
Apparently, near as I can tell, the original decision to un-invite her was based on the university's 'unease' with Ms. Star's conservative credentials. The resultant bad publicity of a Catholic university denying a pro-life, anti-abortion speaker to deliver an address on their campus was just too wacked even for looney left administrators to defend.
EM at HA said it best,
"Parker will finally get a chance to talk about her opposition to abortion on a Catholic campus. Only in the bizarro world of American academia would this be a headline."
Doing the right thing.
