Flagler Productions Inc., located in Lenexa, KS. was the Wal-mart Corporation's official videographer for nearly 30 years. Wal-mart terminated the relationship abruptly in 2006. That sent the small Kansas production company into financial straights upon loosing their biggest customer.
And what Flagler co-owners Mary Lyn Villanueva and Gregory Pierce quickly figured out was that they were sitting on a veritable gold mine.
As word of the videotape library’s existence began to dribble out, Flagler Productions got a new lease on life — selling clips to everyone from plaintiffs’ lawyers and union organizers to historians and the media.
