Missouri House gives initial OK to bill making helmets optional for adult motorcyclists.
The proposed helmet repeal is again sponsored by Rep. Gary Dusenberg, a former trooper for the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
“It’s time for Missourians to have the freedom to decide as adults whether they want to wear a helmet or not,” said Dusenberg, R-Blue Springs. “The state of Missouri shouldn’t be making that decision for adults.”
Careful there, Mr. Dusenberg. You're getting dangerously close to associating 'freedom' with 'responsibilty'.
So does this legislation also release the tax payer's wallet from cleaning up this brain dead stupidity from off the highway? I'm just sayin'.....
