"First, do no harm."
It's a good mantra for medicine and politics, as well. But our Lefty friends over at the oddly named "Think Progress" have messed themselves over Florida Republican Senate candidate Marco Rubio's comment:(video)
"Last night on CNBC, Marco Rubio, a right-wing Republican running for US Senate in Florida, told host Larry Kudlow about his “solutions to the high unemployment” and economic recession. Rubio chafed at responding with any actual ideas, policies, or solutions. In fact, Rubio proposed that if he were elected, he would call for “a two year recess or something” so no laws or reforms could be enacted..."
Seriously?
Suspend Congress for only two years???
I think a half dozen would be the bare minimum...
Notice how the author labeled Rubio a "right-wing" Republican, a clear nod to the alternative of democrat-lite RINO Republican.
Rubio is a big hit on the Tea Party circuit, and the author was considerate enough to label Rubio with the "tea partiers" - and not use the more vulgar missive for that group.
But then the author's boooshitler wheels fall off with the oft repeated Lefty mendacity concerning "former Bush advisers responsible for inflating the housing market, refusing to increase financial oversight, and funneling tax subsidies to the privileged elite...blah, blah, blah, when it's well documented how congressional Democrats ran that train off the rails.
Of course, the real reason Lefties object to Rubio is that Lefties don't like Brown people. It's just that simple.
