The Daily Kus Finds That Perception is Reality?

"...I'm putting the finishing touches on my new book, American Taliban, which catalogues the ways in which modern-day conservatives share the same agenda as radical Jihadists in the Islamic world."

So says the author of a new poll from the Daily Kus about self-identified Republicans, which engenders my absolute trust in his/her totally unbiased approach and impeccable methodology. From the web site:
"The Daily Kos Republican Poll was conducted by Research 2000 from January 20 through January 31, 2010. A total of 2003 self identified Republicans were interviewed nationally by telephone. Those interviewed were selected by the random variation of the last four digits of telephone numbers, nationally."

And Lord knows no one would ever lie under those conditions.

There are 25 simple questions totally lacking in guile or prejudice toward wingnuts on specific hot button issues like Obama's birth certificate, is he a socialist, abortion, homosexual marriage, ACORN vote fraud and is Obama a racist - that even the author swore was inaccurate with his/her exclamation "I bet more people think Obama is racist, but were too afraid to tell a live operator the truth."

Personally, I think the results are rather suspect, too, because I've never heard these topics mentioned at any Sooper Seekrit White Guy Meeting I've ever been to.

There was even a question about "should your state should secede from the United States?"

Of course, the loon toon moonbats are apoplectic at the results, and while I agree that some right wing nutjobs believe some pretty stupid stuff (birthers, secret muslim, etc,) most of the answers might be nothing more than the perception of a reality that President Obama perpetuates by building upon everything he was before he was elected: a hyper-partisan, far left leaning, Euro-style, nanny state globalist.
