"JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Jay Nixon today appointed Meryl L. Lange, of Raymore, as the new Associate Circuit Judge for Cass County. The position became available upon the election of the Honorable William B. Collins as Circuit Judge.
..."With her background of more than 22 years in the Cass County legal community, Meryl Lange has extensive experience in a wide-ranging area of the law," Gov. Nixon said. "I am pleased to appoint her to the bench, where she will apply those abilities in serving the people of this county."
In 2010, Mrs. Lange ran as a democrat candidate for Division IV associate circuit judge in Cass County. She was defeated by Republican Mike Rumley.
