Family’s Home Raided over Facebook Photo of Boy Holding Rifle

The .22 rifle was a birthday present for the 11 y.o. boy. An anonymous tip sent four local police officers and one social worker to the Moore family home, demanding to inspect all weapons in the home. The family's attorney told police, 'Not without a warrant!'

I blame 'Ma'  Feinstein's histrionics.

From Todd Starnes at FOX News:
“The department has a child abuse hotline for the state of New Jersey and anybody can make a call to that hotline,” spokesperson Kristen Brown said. “We are required to follow up on every single allegation that comes into the central registry.”

(Shawn) Moore, of Carneys Point, is a certified firearms instructor for the National Rifle Association, an NRA range safety officer and a New Jersey hunter education instructor.

He recently posted a photograph of his son wearing camouflage and holding his new .22 rifle. The child has a New Jersey hunting license and recently passed the state’s hunter safety course.

“If you look at the picture, his finger isn’t even on the trigger – which is proper,” Nappen told Fox News. “If half of Hollywood could follow that rule we’d be thankful.”
Fortunately, Mr. Moore has his lawyer Evan Nappen, who specializes in Second Amendment cases, on speed dial. A quick search engine query shows attorney & author Nappen to be a formidable 2nd amendment ally. But what about us plain folks who simply obey the law and don't retain a 'lawyered-up' posture in our daily lives? Apparently, the 2nd and fourth amendments are trumped by an 'anonymous tip.'

And those making an 'anonymous,' false allegation of abuse cannot be prosecuted.

A poll on shows a 2-1 outrage about this invasion by officials into this family's home.

And, of course, the Huffy Poo is more relativistic in their headline: Sean Moore Says NJ Child Welfare Agency Overreacted To Facebook Photo. You see, it's all so subjective, open to interpretation. The proglodytes' comments are even more disgusting.

God save the Republic.
