Mueller Just Proved His Entire Operation Was A Political Hit Job That Trampled The Rule Of Law

"If there were any doubts about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s political intentions, his unprecedented press conference on Wednesday should put them all to rest."

So wrote the estimable Sean Davis at The Federalist after Special Counsel Robert Mueller's hastily arranged retirement party press conference.

"Although the Department of Justice makes final decisions on matters like this, we are expressing to Justice our view that no charges are appropriate in this case," said former FBI Director James Comey in July 2016 after an 'investigation' into violation of the Espionage Act by failed Democrat potus candidate Hillary Clinton and her team.

Compare and contrast: “After that investigation, if we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.” So summerized Mueller at Wednesday's press conference. That concluded the two and a half year long, $30 million clown sh!t show into Russia /Trump collusion which exposed nothing but liars, malice, vengence, and the corrupt, complicit propaganda wing of the DNC, otherwise known as the MSM.

Since when is a prosecutor supposed to determine degrees of innocence, or publicly disparage the unindicted subjects of an investigation?

Davis answers the question: "Nationwide bar rules governing all practicing attorneys in the United States also explicitly prohibit Mueller’s display during Wednesday’s press conference.

“The prosecutor in a criminal case shall … refrain from making extrajudicial comments that have a substantial likelihood of heightening public condemnation of the accused,” states Rule 3.8(f) of the American Bar Association’s rules of professional conduct.

Multiple federal agents and prosecutors reached out to The Federalist after Mueller’s press conference to express dismay at the former FBI director’s behavior."

So what consequences will Mueller face, other than the cruel disdain of historical review? Like most in the stratosphere of political power, nothing.

Davis on tweeeter:

Today, on CBS This Morning, AG Bill Barr shoots down to Mueller's self-serving diatribe:

In the wake of his 400+ page report about this psuedo-event called Russia/Trump colloooosion, why did Mueller bother to serve up this feeble diatribe at Wednesday's retirement party?

Liz Sheld at PJ Media has an interesting theory: "Mueller doesn't want to be called by Nadler to testify before the House Judiciary because he doesn't want to answer tough questions under oath. Nadler doesn't want to call Mueller because he doesn't want Mueller answering questions that undermine the Democrats' plan to keep a cloud of suspicion floating over Trump until 2020."

I'm not surprised by anything anymore. Discovery is a heck of a drug.
