Dayton Shooter Was The Lead Singer Of A 'Pornogrind' Metal Band

"A genre defined by its explicit subject matter and themes of gore and violence, specifically sexual violence and necrophilia."

The name of the band? Menstrual Munchies. But let's listen to MSNBC scream all day about "Orange Man Bad."

Ellie Hall at Buzz Feed News explains the stench from this 'pornogrind' sewer:
"The band's song titles are explicitly sexually violent, such as "Preteen Daughter Pu$$y Slaughter" and "Cunt Stuffed With Medical Waste - Sexual Abuse Of A Teenage Corpse." The album art is equally explicit. One album cover shows a woman consuming feces, while another shows an illustration of a young woman's headless body chained to a bed, covered in blood, as a man puts his pants back on.

Musicians in this genre posted messages online saying they were disgusted by Betts's actions."

'Disgusted.' Correlation doesn't prove causation, yet the pertinent question remains, "Can a man take fire to his chest and not be burned?"

"Authorities now say that Betts, 24, of Bellbrook, Ohio, donned body armor and a mask before shooting and killing 9 people outside a Dayton bar, including his own sister. At least 27 people were injured. Police say the motive is unclear."

'Unclear.'  This dissonance revealed itself as defensiveness from others who revell in the pornogrind "themes of gore and violence, specifically sexual violence and necrophilia."

Wrong. You don't get to do that - profit from death, gore, and sexual violence as entertainment, then disavow any responsibilty for the unhinged who embrace as normal the imagery from this debauched sub-culture .

The Dayton shooter's now-suspended Twitter account includes comments like,
"Hail, Satan;"
"I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding."
"No filler, no bullshit, just ‘Find problem, Kill problem, repeat until no more problem;'"
"I’m going to hell and i’m not coming back."
Contrast it all to the gentle instruction found in Colossians 3:16, - "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

Words matter.
