Trump Asks Ben Carson to Open Cabinet Meeting with Prayer

(CNSNews.com) – Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson said a prayer at the opening of a cabinet meeting at the White House on Monday, pointing out that “separation of church and state means that the church does not dominate the state, and it means the state does not dominate the church.”

No doubt the G*d-haters will launch their predictable spittle-flecked tirades about 'christian taliban,' and 'theocratic oppressors,' etc.

Perhaps they're ignorant of the fact that each session of Congress is opened with a prayer by the Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives.

"The House cites the first half of Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5 in the United States Constitution as giving it the authority to elect a Chaplain, "The House of Representatives shall choose their speaker and other officers".

The office of the Clerk of the House explains "The other officers have been created and their duties defined by the rules of the House, which also are made pursuant to the authority of the Constitution, hence one of the rules prescribes the duties of the Chaplain."
Any reasonable person would conclude that the same courtesy extends to the other two branches of the federal government. I've long said that whether it's a government school, or a government office, the individual citizens who pass through those doors do not surrender their Constitutional rights to appease 'separation.'
