The USA Impeachment Follies for our Foreign Audience

My daily stats show I have a small audience outside the USA. For those keeping score on the Democrat's attempt to impeach our President Trump(R), you may have noticed I don't write intricate autopsies about the daily Q & A burped up by either side during this farce. There are plenty of news blogs for that, as you will see down below. I do, however, point to certain key points of interest that arise.

Only extremely grave offenses should deprive Americans' right to choose their president. The founders of this nation deliberately borrowed the concept of impeachment – and even the specific term 'high Crimes and Misdemeanors' – from English Law.

In the entire 230 year history of the USA, impeachment of a president has been attempted four times: Andrew Johnson (1868), Richard Nixon (1974), Bill Clinton (1999), and Donald Trump. Only Johnson was put on trial by the Senate after his impeachment in the House. However, the Senate fell one vote short of a two-thirds majority to convict and remove Johnson from office. Nixon resigned before the House could vote on impeachment. Clinton was impeached by the House, but the Senate refused to conduct a trial.

What's being attempted against Trump isn't an impeachment as understood under our Constitution. It's a naked soft coup to oust a duly elected president. The Democrats telegraphed their intentions before Trump was even sworn into office back in January 2017.

Long before this latest 'quid pro quo' scam about Trump's phone call with Ukraine President Zelenski, Congresswomen Maxine Waters(D) and Rashida Tlaib(D) would lede crowds to chant, 'Impeach him! Impeach him! Impeach 45!', and the infamous, 'We’re gonna impeach the motherf---er!'

All the Democrats attempts to remove Trump from office have been amateur theatrical productions played out on cable news:

And when their latest naked coup scam attempt fails, the Democrats will concoct another lie to remove Trump.

And on, and on, and on...

If you want to read intricate autopsies about the daily Q & A burped up by either side during this farce, here are a few good sites with lots of links to lots of news outlets.
