A Resounding Endorsement From Iowa to do Electronic Voting from Smartphones when 16 y.o.'s are Allowed to Vote. Wouldn't That be Swell?

Democrats have no Iowa caucus results, blame ‘coding issue’

Clinton Campaign Veterans Run Firm That Built The Disastrous Iowa Caucus Phone App
"Iowa Democrats intended to use the app, created by Shadow Inc., to make it easier for the state’s 1,700-odd precincts to report the results of their individual caucuses. But officials at precincts across the state reported that they had trouble operating the app and submitting the voting data."
So... is it a feature, or a bug?

Red-faced Democrats struggle to announce caucus results:
"DES MOINES, Iowa — Democratic party officials in Iowa worked furiously Tuesday to deliver the delayed results of their first-in-the-nation caucus, as frustrated presidential candidates claimed momentum and plowed ahead in their quest for the White House. In a statement early Tuesday, the Iowa Democratic Party blamed a “coding issue in the reporting system” that it said has since been fixed.
The problem kept party officials from releasing results from Monday's caucus, the much-hyped kickoff to the 2020 primary. It was an embarrassing twist after months of promoting the contest as a chance for Democrats to find some clarity in a jumbled field with no clear front-runner. Instead, caucus day ended with no winner, no official results and many fresh questions about whether Iowa can retain its coveted “first” status."
This major cockup comes less than 24 hours after the paper of record in Iowa, The Des Moines Register, refused to release results of its latest poll the day before the caucus voting started. Move along. Nothing to see.
"Nothing is more important to the Register and its polling partners than the integrity of the Iowa Poll. Today, a respondent raised an issue with the way the survey was administered, which could have compromised the results of the poll. It appears a candidate’s name was omitted in at least one interview in which the respondent was asked to name their preferred candidate. While this appears to be isolated to one surveyor, we cannot confirm that with certainty. Therefore, the partners made the difficult decision to not to move forward with releasing the Iowa Poll."
FiveThirtyEight blog suggests it had less to do with flawed methodology and more to do with Anyone but Bernie-ology.
