US scraps $20 million prototype of virtual fence.
In other words, it's a gate.
Is this decision to scrap this over-priced, tax payer financed gate before or after the DHS gave Boeing another $65 million to replace the crummy software originally used? After, of course.
So, it's actually an 85 million dollar flop! In other words, it's really expensive gate.
(In 2006), Boeing was awarded an $860 million contract to provide the technology, physical fences and vehicle barriers.
