Or, "Where's the fire?"
Stamford, CT Fire Dept. Violated ADA for not accommodating Fire Captain Applicant.
The applicant, currently a fire lieutenant with the city, has attention deficit disorder. David Lenotti, the fire lieutenant with attention deficit disorder, requested more time to complete the timed captain's exam, and was refused. He didn't pass. So he sued the FD under the ADA and won.
The all powerful, all knowing esteemed organization which proclaimed the Stamford's FD guilt? The State Commission on Human Rights. This omniscient 'star chamber' proclaimed that the city never proved attention deficit disorder to be a disorder. Huh?
I'm sure this august state commission will feel pretty smug until an apartment full of citizens die, and the city gets whacked for eleventy bazillion dollars in a class action suit for negligence!
