Call upon Godwin to save us all!
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," Bush said in July. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
The only problem is, Bush never said it. Obama did. It's made for MSM red meat. Although the MSM pretty much ignored Mr. Obama's quote. Some Left handed bloggers seem OK with Obama's idea. I'm sure they like the re-distribution of wealth idea, too.
But Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) compared Obama's suggestion of a 'Civilian Security Force' -with powers similar our military- to that of Hitler's abuse of power as Chancellor of Germany, and the Left doesn't like it none too much.
"We can't be lulled into complacency," Broun said. "You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I'm not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I'm saying is there is the potential."
Sounds like common sense to me, but Rep. Broun will soon be a pariah, contrite, and apologetic because Lord knows the Lefties have never compared Bush to Hitler.
