Seen in Eastern Jackson County: Pragmatism.
Fred Arbanas(D) played for the Kansas City Chiefs as a record setting tight end, back when the Chiefs actually won a Super Bowl championship. Arbanas has served on the Jackson County Legislature since it was created in 1973, and is running for re-election on the August 3rd primary ballot against Terry Riley(D).
One would think that after 37 years on the Jackson County legislature, the Kansas City (red) Star could find a more flattering picture of Fred Arbanas. Perhaps the Star simply favors his opponent.
The Independence Examiner conducted a brief interview with Arbanas last week.
