One Last Look: Mt. Washington Cemetery, Memorial Day 2012

The cemetery is located in Independence, Missouri. We were at the cemetery today to pay our respects to family who are laid to rest there. I was also drawn to all the other countless headstones with tiny American flags placed in honor of their service. I decided to photograph the random names of these random men called at random times by their country to answer a specific call of duty.

The conflicts range from the Civil War to Vietnam.
