Merry Sleigh-Mas!

 Sleigh Ride by the Ronettes.

This is my favorite Christmas song. It's always been my favorite Christmas song, and I've never had any other song that even came close, no matter what that other guy says.

From the 1963 album "A Christmas Gift for You." Sleigh ride was written by Leroy Anderson & Mitchell Parish. The song 'Sleigh Ride' featured producer Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound," with it's full & robust stereophonic sound, and his early stable of artists, the Ronettes, Crystals, Darlene Love, and Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans. 'A Christmas Gift for You,' from Phil Spector, arguably stands as the greatest Christmas record of all time.

This album - plus a gazillion others - were produced by Phil Spectre during his 30 year career. He was convicted of second-degree murder in the 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson in his Alhambra, California, home. He is serving a prison sentence of 19 years to life.

But he probably doesn't have any of his bizarre hairdoos in the slammer.
