A Few Headlines - in case you missed it

Last week was a heck of a ride.

Private payrolls soar in January, the best monthly gain in nearly 5 years
'Unexpectedly,' said 'experts.'
"The jobs market kicked off 2020 in grand fashion, adding 291,000 in private payrolls for the best monthly gain since May 2015, according to a report Wednesday from ADP and Moody’s Analytics.

That was well above the 150,000 estimate from economists surveyed by Dow Jones and more evidence that the U.S. still is a good distance from full employment even with the jobless rate at its lowest point in more than 50 years. The total also was a sharp gain from the 199,000 in December, which was revised down 3,000 from the initial count.

Growth came across a swath of industries."
Tell me again why we listen to 'experts?'

Record economic optimism under Trump, better than Reagan, Clinton, and Obama
"Economic optimism has reached a 44-year high and economic gloom a record low under President Trump in the latest survey that shows people are cheering their best personal economy in decades.

For the first time in its history, the Gallup “Mood of the Nation” economic survey found that 59% of people believe that they are “better off,” a trend that has soared under Trump."
Ethical capitalism is the most effective anti-poverty program the world has ever known - as long as government gets out of its way. Trump has seen to that, and voters will reward him with a landslide re-election this November.

The woke party of intersectional tolerance, and inclusion:
"The two top officials overseeing Milwaukee's host committee for the 2020 Democratic National Convention were sidelined Monday amid allegations of a toxic work culture.

In a letter to staff obtained by the Journal Sentinel, the board said it had retained an attorney to investigate "concerns about the work environment" for the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee.

During the investigation, Liz Gilbert, president of the host committee, will not be in the office and "will not have direct contact with staff," the letter says. Adam Alonso, the chief of staff for the group, has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the probe.

The two have previously come under criticism for continuing to do work for New Jersey Democrats while leading the Host Committee full time. The New Jersey Democratic Party dumped Alonso from his $15,000-per-month consulting gig late Monday."
That was 7 days ago. The Democratic National Convention is in 6 months.

Six women quit Liz Warren campaign over 'culture' of racism
"The six staffers have left the roughly 70-person Nevada team since November, during a critical stretch of the race. Three of them said they felt marginalized by the campaign, a situation they said didn’t change or worsened after they took their concerns to their superiors or to human resources staff.

Another recently departed staffer, also a field organizer, granted anonymity because she feared reprisal, echoed that sentiment. “I felt like a problem — like I was there to literally bring color into the space but not the knowledge and voice that comes with it,” she said in an interview."
'Intersectional tolerance, and inclusion.' Those words don't mean what Warren thinks they mean. After Iowa's dismal showing, and tanking poll numbers in New Hampshire, Warren may not even make it to Nevada, so, what difference, at this point, does it make?

Staffers Say Sexism Runs Deep At The Washington Post
"The Washington Post doesn’t value women and men in the same way, these people said. This appears literally true when it comes to pay: Women in the newsroom are paid less than men, according to a report published last year by the union that represents employees. (The paper disputed the findings at the time.) One former Post contractor told HuffPost she was let go after asking for a raise."
Why are Lefty institutions such cesspits of unwokeness, intolerance, and exclusion?

Obama lied; FBI spied.

"Specifically, we are concerned that certain sections of the public version of the report are misleading because they are contradicted by relevant and probative classified information redacted in four footnotes within the classified report. This classified information is significant not only because it contradicts key statements in a section of the report, but also because it provides insight essential for an accurate evaluation of the entire investigation."

AG Barr Requires FBI to Obtain His Approval Before Investigating 2020 Candidates
"The move follows Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s obtainment of a FISA warrant against former Trump-campaign adviser Carter Page as part of the agency’s investigation into suspected collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian agents. The report detailed various errors and material omissions in the FBI’s initial application for a FISA warrant and subsequent renewals.

“We identified multiple instances in which factual assertions relied upon in the first FISA application were inaccurate, incomplete, or unsupported by appropriate documentation, based upon information the FBI had in its possession at the time the application was filed,” the report read."
There's a new Sheriff in town - and he ain't a seditious 'dirty cop' who worked for Obama.

Rhode Island priest denies communion to legislators who support abortion
This is the proper response from The Church: One cannot claim to be a Christian and advocate the murder of babies. The two actions are antithetical.
"WEST WARWICK, Rhode Island - The pastor of a Rhode Island church issued a flier which said that every state legislator who voted last year to preserve the right to an abortion in state law would be denied communion.

...The fliers also said legislators wouldn’t be allowed to act as witnesses to marriage, godparents or lectors at any church functions.

“If they are proud of what they have done, why do they want to keep it a secret?” Bucci told the Journal."

Van Jones: We've Got To Wake Up, Trump Sent A Warning Shot He's Going After Black Votes
"Jones also warned the Democratic party to wake up, that Trump's State of the Union address was a warning shot that he is going after the black vote. Jones said Democrats need to get "clinical" and less emotional about a possible "split off" in that black vote.

"That was a warning to us. That was a warning shot across the bow to us Democrats that he's going after enough black votes to cause us problems. It's not just suburban votes, he's going after black votes," Jones said."
Black folks, or their votes, aren't things to own, yet notice the blatant entitlement mentality 'going after black votes' inherent in his words. Trump delivered in 3 years what the Democrats have only talked about for decades. People of all nationalities and ethnicities will back the strong horse.

James Carville rips elitist media, says Dems are 'losing our damn minds'
"We just had an election in 2018. We did great. We talked about everything we needed to talk about and we won," he said in a Vox interview published on Friday. "And now it’s like we’re losing our damn minds. Someone’s got to step their game up here."

Carville added that he considered himself a "liberal" rather than a centrist -- but Democrats went too far even for him.

"They’ve tacked off the damn radar screen," he said when asked if the party moved too far left.

...According to Carville, both Sanders and Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., were pushing "stupid" ideas about higher education."
I agree with Carville (a life-long Democrat and former advisor to Bill Clinton(D)), but for schadenfreude's sake, I hope the DNC ignores him. Popcorn!

Trump Beats Congressional Democrats’ Emoluments Lawsuit
"(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump beat back a lawsuit by 215 congressional Democrats who say he has been violating the Constitution’s emoluments clauses by profiting from foreign government spending at his Washington hotel and other properties.

A federal appeals court in Washington on Friday dismissed the case, saying members of the House and Senate lacked the legal standing to sue the president.

...The decision was the second by a federal appeals court throwing out an emoluments lawsuits against the president. A three-judge panel in Richmond, Virginia, last year dismissed a suit filed jointly by the attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia. A three-judge appeals panel in New York revived a third suit in September, after a trial court judge dismissed it."
Impotent rage of unrelenting lawfare is all the Democrats have against Trump. It's boring and bad form. Voters are sick of it.
