'Kansas and Missouri didn’t expand Medicaid. Could that worsen the COVID-19 pandemic?'

That's the title to yet another ignorant and irresponsible Op/Ed from the KC Star editorial board.

From the KC Star:
"It could also put the insured at greater risk, as those without health coverage remain untreated and accelerate the spread of the virus."
Good grief. What an demagogic and irresponsible statement. There is no definitive treatment - only anecdotal results for a certain experimental drug cocktail that arrests the Wuhan Corona Virus. That, or die in a hospital bed with or without a respirator.

Couple that with the known quantities of many infected are asymptomatic for 7-10 days, suffer minimal effects once the virus presents, recover completely, global increase in herd immunity, and the standard epidemiological model (known as SIRD - Susceptible, Infected, Recovered, and Dead), which so far, has accurately determined global spread from the infected populations to that of susceptibles, regardless of insurance coverage, and the primary alarm is for the elderly and those with underlying health issues. IE: Eighty percent of the dead from Wuhan Corona Virus were over weight, etc.

Again, there is ZERO evidence that lack of insurance coverage correlates to global virus transmissions given the above known quantities.

This is yet another ignorant and irresponsible Op/Ed by the KC Star to sow panic and discord for the sake of political opportunism. Shame on you and your yellow tabloid journalism.
