Morning Cappuccino - a day which will end in 'Y'

"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then  beat you with experience." - Mark Twain (ex.: twitter)

*May 27, 1930
The 1,046 foot Chrysler Building in New York City, the tallest man-made structure  at the time, opens to the public. The building was formally opened in a ceremony that coincided with the 42nd Street  Property Owners and Merchants Association's meeting that year. In the lobby of the  building, a bronze plaque that read "in recognition of Mr. Chrysler's contribution  to civic advancement" was unveiled.

The Chrysler Building was designed by architect William Van Alen, and often cited  as the epitome of the Art Deco skyscraper. Its sunburst-patterned stainless steel  spire remains one of the most striking features of the Manhattan skyline. The  decorative scheme of the facade and interior is largely geometric; at the request  of Walter P. Chrysler, who commissioned the building, stainless steel automobile  icons (e.g., radiator caps in the form of Mercury) were incorporated in the frieze  on the setback at the base of the tower and in decorative work on other parts of  the building. The building’s pierless corners and sleek design are typical of the  modernism of the 1920s. It served as the Chrysler corporation's headquarters from  1930 until the mid-1950s.

Built between 1928 and 1930, the Chrysler Building was briefly the tallest in the  world, and held the record until the Empire State Building opened in 1931. The  building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National  Historic Landmark in 1976, and designated a New York City landmark in 1978. A major  restoration of the Chrysler landmark structure was conducted in the early 1980s.

On to today's stuff

How is Gov. Cuomo Not Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter?

"The federal govt. should investigate Gov. Cuomo of New York and his Health  Commissioner, Howard Zucker, for their indefensible policy requiring nursing homes  to take patients without regard to the Wuhan virus, knowing that it would result in  illness and death among the state’s most at-risk population."
Two words: 'Qualified immunity.' The political elites long ago insulated themselves  from criminal liability for their incompetence or malfeasance when they disregard  public safety. It's why they can indiscriminately release criminals from prison to  rape and murder again, or unleash corrupt elements within national security  agencies to spy on the opposition political party and its candidates - with angry public opinion their only 'punishment.' And the worst part? They don't care. As the man said, "Elections have  consequences."

This so-called ‘new normal’ had better not be the permanent ‘normal’
"In 1920, Warren G. Harding’s campaign slogan was “a return to normalcy.” He won.  Perhaps that ought to be Trump’s new slogan: “Make America Normal Again.”

One of the ickiest phrases around lately is the “new normal.” We’re told by leftist  politicos and a thousand commercials that we’re in the “new normal.” This “normal,”  we’re told, will last until there is a vaccine for the Wuhan China Virus. Achieving  a vaccination currently has the 12th of Never as its deadline for completion."
'Better not be.' That's a bit too passive for me when there are plenty of lamp  posts made for fascists.

More Bear agitation: 2 Russian fighter jets buzz US spy plane over Mediterranean
"Two Russian fighter jets “flew in an unsafe and unprofessional manner” while  intercepting a U.S. spy plane on Tuesday over the Mediterranean Sea on Tuesday, the  U.S. Navy said in a statement.

The encounter marks the third time in two months that Russian pilots buzzed U.S.  aircraft."

Kathy Griffin sends out death threat to Trump on Twitter
She's the same garbage human being who got her fat %ss handed to her years ago when  she posted a picture of herself on social media holding a bloody, severed, faux-Trump  head. Yet another confirmation of Kaiser's Maxim.

Democrat bigwigs fear an economic upswing before November
"Of course they’re worried, and of course they’re very aware. What goes down  sometimes goes back up. Many Democratic governors are doing their best to prevent  that possibility. But will it be enough to keep things down?"
This epidemic may not have been manufactured, but the response - particularly in  Democrat controlled states - to keep society repressed under a fascist boot until  November certainly is manufactured. Again, elections have consequences.

Why Do Democrats Want Lockdowns To Continue? A Bad Economy Is Good For Their  Election Chances
Maybe. Maybe not.

Tyranny and So-Called “Hate Speech”
