Morning Coffee - Lamp posts are still for fascists

Today, May 1st, is ‘VICTIMS OF COMMUNISM DAY' - 100 million murdered and counting...

*Folies Bergère staged its first revue in Paris, France, on May 1, 1869, with light entertainment including operettas, comic opera, popular songs, and gymnastics. Greater success came in the 1870s, when the Folies Bergère staged vaudeville. In 1887 the Folies’ highly popular revue entitled “Place aux Jeunes” (place of the young)? established it as the premiere nightspot in Paris. When the vogue of nudity seized the music halls of Paris in 1894, the Folies elaborated it to such an extent that the theatre’s reputation for sensational displays of female nudity came to overshadow its other performances. The house was at the height of its fame and popularity from the 1890s through the 1920s.

The Folies Bergère remained a success throughout the 20th century and still can be seen in Paris today, although the theater now features many mainstream concerts and performances.

On to today's news

FBI closed Flynn case and then Peter Strzok reopened it, unsealed documents reveal
"Internal Federal Bureau of Investigation documents were unsealed by the Department of Justice on Thursday, which revealed that Strzok intervened to continue the probe into Flynn.

The investigation into Flynn, codenamed "Crossfire Razor," was set to conclude Jan. 4, 2017, after the FBI deemed that "no derogatory information was identified in FBI holdings."

"The transcript of the documents read, “[W]hat is our goal? Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?”"

Gen. Flynn Never Violated Logan Act, But John Kerry Violated It Often
"On Wednesday evening we learned among other things, handwritten notes “written by the FBI’s former head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap after a meeting with then-FBI Director James Comey and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Fox News is told — further suggested that agents planned in the alternative to get Flynn “to admit to breaking the Logan Act” when he spoke to then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition period.”"
Logan is an archaic 18th century law in which no one - ever - has been prosecuted. Again, a lamp post for every single one of these fascist crap weasels.

Joe diGenova: Former FBI General Counsel James Baker Has Flipped and There’s a Mole Inside the FBI
"“What’s very clear is according to two stories, one in The Federalist and one in The Daily Caller, diGenova said, “is someone inside the FBI is now whistleblowing by leaking to the press about what’s going on and boy, it is just fascinating to watch the claim that Chris Wray and Dana Boente did everything they could to prevent the stuff from the Missouri U.S. attorney from being given to Flynn’s attorney. That is the beginning of a very ugly story.”"
Still and again, a lamp post for every single one of these fascist crap weasels.

Meh. Watergate was a media malefaction, so 'bigger' is a pretty easy trick.

Judge Says Northam’s Gun-Range Shutdown Violates State Law
"Judge F. Patrick Yeatts of the 24th Judicial Circuit of Virginia ruled in favor of a Lynchburg firing range that challenged Northam's statewide shutdown order. He said the governor's emergency powers are limited under Virginia law and cannot restrict the "otherwise lawful possession, carrying, transportation, sale, or transfer of firearms."
Thankfully, there's still a few adults left in Virginia, otherwise, a lamp post for every single one of these fascist crap weasels.

Armed US protesters enter Michigan capitol to demand lockdown end
"The protest comes a day after a Michigan court ruled that stay-at-home directives issued by Whitmer on March 24 do not infringe on residents’ constitutional rights, according to local media reports.

It was the second time this month that protesters have demanded Whitmer lift lockdown restrictions in the state, which has seen more than 3,500 people killed by the coronavirus, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University. On April 16 around 3,000 protesters, some of them also armed, descended on Lansing for “Operation Gridlock,” causing a massive traffic jam around the capital building.

A day later Trump appeared to lend his support to them and scattered protests elsewhere, tweeting “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!”
The population has gone 'Network:' We're mad as h3ll and we're not gonna take this anymore!

God bless separation of powers.
